Hello all, I have a 2007 Tour 40TD on a Freightliner XCF chassis. In front of the steer axle, under our feet, there is an air control valve. I occasionally hear air released from it when we are driving. I think it's part of the air bag suspension, but I'm not exactly sure. The part number is Norgren v60p411a-a512jk.
Does anyone know what and how this air valve controller is used, and what is "normal" noises from it?
Also, anyone know of Frieghtliner diagrams showing the air system for this chassis?
Thank you.

This Spartan MM compressed air system diagram might be useful, it is only identified on the drawing an "Norgren valve 1282" and supplies compressed air to all air springs; but, the rear air springs have an accumulator tank in between due to the distance from the main tanks near the front of the MH. If I remember correctly, the red buttons are to manually switch the valves so the air springs will inflate in case of 12V failure to the valve.
BTW, that accumulator tank only has a manual water drain valve, looks like a radiator petco*ck.

Ray,IN Thank you for the response and drawing, it is super helpful. I'd love to find one from Freightliner for the XCF. I'll keep digging.
Is the Spartan MM chassis similar to the Freightliner XCF chassis?
Does your ever release air in the front while driving?
Thanks.

Mine leaks a bit, yes it has an exhaust port on the bottom to release air pressure. That electric over air valve is no longer available, but substitutes are available. When you search by brand and part#, substitutes should appear in the results. I don't know the similarities between Spartan chassis and Freightliner, but some Freightliner shops are also authorized Spartan chassis repair shops. I would expect the compressed air systems to be quite similar, just different locations for components. I suggest calling Freightliner and requesting a compressed air schematic/drawing for your chassis VIN#.

I believe that is the air dump valve for the air suspension system. The one that you hear when you perform an auto level or a manual Dump. My used DP (Freightliner) came with a spare.

On my Sparten MM GT chassis the front air springs dump valve is located just forward of the fuel tank up high. The rear air springs dump valve is located near the rear axle. That Norgren valve supplies air to the front air springs directly, and to the rear air springs via the accumulator tank just forward of rear axle.
