How to Grill Pork Chops on the Ninja Foodi Grill

Cris here.

We love our Ninja Foodi Grill around here. We use it about every day. There is something VERY convenient about having that grill taste without having to go fire up our big grill.

So when I was thinking through the foods we like to toss on it for a quick meal, I knew I needed to share how to grill pork chops with you guys. One of the questions I get from people the most is how to keep pork chops from drying out regardless if you slow cook, electric pressure cook, air fry or grill them.

How not to overcook pork chops

The answer is almost always cooking time. I often say that overcooking pork chops turns them into puck chops! Keep these things in mind when cooking pork chops:

  • Bone-in Pork Chops will take longer to cook than boneless chops.
  • Unless a recipe specifies the thickness of a chop, assume it means a medium thickness of around 3/4 inch.
  • The thickness of your pork chop matters. Thin pork chops will cook up way faster than thicker versions. Reduce cooking times for thin chops, use cooking thermometers for thick chops. (Note: The Ninja Foodi Grill Smart XL version has a built in thermometer.)
  • If you struggle with tough pork chops, try cooking them to 145 degrees and let them rest for 3 minutes before cutting into them. It is okay if there is a little pink hue to the meat.

How would the pork chop cook on a George Foremen Grill since it cooks on both sides at the same time? Would five minutes be sufficient?

      Hi Judy!

Unfortunately I’m not sure. We don’t have a George Foreman Grill. If you give it a try, we would love to hear how it goes!
